In order to download ICPSR data and resources, you first need to create a MyData account, which is free for all current UMGC faculty, students, and staff.
To create an ICPSR MyData account:
- Go to https://www.icpsr.umich.edu
- Click on the Log In button in the upper right-hand corner of the page
- Scroll down to the "New User?" section and click on the Create Account button
- Fill in all of the required fields on the "Create a New Account" page. Use your UMGC e-mail address when creating your account.
- A message will then be sent to your UMGC e-mail address with a link that you'll need to click on within five days in order to verify your account
Once you've created an account, you can log in from any computer to access your MyData account and ICPSR datasets and other materials.
You should log into your MyData account at least once every six months to keep your account active.
