Format for technical and research reports

Elements:

  1. Author.
  2. Title of Report.
  3. Publisher,
  4. Publication Date.
  5. Title of Database/Website,
  6. DOI or URL.

Format:

Author. Title of Report. Publisher, date. Title of Database/Website, DOI or URL.

Non-government organization reports

If a non-government organization is both author and publisher of a report, you can omit the author and start with the title.

Report to the Teagle Foundation on the Undergraduate Major in Language and Literature. Modern Language Association of America, 2009.

Government reports

If a government agency is both author and publisher of a source, list it in the author's spot only.
