Google Scholar:

  • Allows for specific searches of scholarly literature, including:
    • peer-reviewed papers
    • theses
    • books
    • preprints
    • abstracts
    • technical reports
  • Has content from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities, and scholarly articles from across the web
  • Has standing arrangements with some publishers, including the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC)

Through a collaborative effort between Google Scholar and UMGC's library, some Google Scholar search results link to full-text articles available through the Library's research databases. Be sure to access Google Scholar through the library's A–Z list of databases. Authentication will ensure that you are linked to articles in the UMGC Library's research databases.
