APA Citation Examples

Journal Article from a Library Database:

If there is a DOI: 

Author last name, author first initial. (Year). Article title. Journal title, volume(issue, if available), pages. DOI

Park, S., & Cha, H. (2019). Institutional decoupling and the limited implementation of certified environmental technologies. Journal Of Environmental Management, 247, 253–262. https://doi-org.ezproxy.umgc.edu/10.1016/j.jenvman.2019.05.116

 

If there is no DOI, then end the citation with the page numbers:

Author last name, author first initial. (Year). Article title. Journal title, volume(issue), pages.

Print Book:

Author last name, author first initial. (Year). Book title. Publication city: Publisher name.

If there is no DOI, then cite the ebook as if it were print book:

Author last name, author first initial. (Year). Ebook title.Publication city: Publisher name.

Website:

Note: for a website, the author frequently will be the name of an organization.
