Citation Management Tools

About EndNote

EndNote is the most sophisticated citation management tool discussed in this guide. It also has the most robust Microsoft Word tool bar, with the largest set of citation styles.

A few things to keep in mind: There is a cost to download the software, and every few years there can be a cost to upgrade, although upgrading is optional.

UMGC faculty, staff and students can purchase EndNote at a reduced rate through On the Hub. Note that the price for faculty and staff is higher than the price for students.

Note, too, that a free 30-day trial is available.

Note that the UMGC Library does not provide support for EndNote; please see EndNote's support page if you need help with using this tool.
