What is Everway?
Everway (formerly Texthelp) offers technology solutions to help everyone understand and to be understood. UMGC has partnered with Everway to provide the entire UMGC community with three software options that break down barriers, recognize and value differences, and empower individuals to thrive in any aspect of their education or work.
Software options include Read&Write, OrbitNote, and Equatio, and each of these is built to support academic skills with easy-to-access tools such as text-to-speech, highlighting, speech-to-text, audio-file creation, math formula creation support, grammar support, and a host of other tools and features.
Read&Write
Read&Write provides reading, writing, and study skills support using a variety of features such as text-to-speech, dictionaries, highlighting, and a host of other support tools. Read&Write is available as a desktop software, a browser extension, or can be integrated on mobile devices.
OrbitNote
OrbitNote is a web-based tool offering document remediation tools that allow users to upload, scan, read, and annotate documents in a matter of minutes.
Equatio
Equatio offers tools to make reading and writing math more accessible. Equatio has the ability to convert math from hand-writing, spoken, and screenshots into a format easily read by text-to-speech readers. Equatio is available as desktop software or a browser extension.
